While most of these items are new in 2025, some of the updates were actually added in Civil 3D 2024.1 and Civil 3D 2024.3 and then incorporated into the Civil 3D 2025 release.
Corridor Enhancements
The possibility to add multiple baselines at once, even if they are not of the same kind (Alignment/Profile vs. Feature Line), is now available to users when they launch the "Create Corridor" command. As you can see, the extended dialogue now has two parts on the right side that let you choose multiple Feature Line baselines, multiple Alignment/Profile baselines, or both!

New filters are available to help the user find the appropriate Feature Line (position indicated in red on the screenshot above) when one is wanted for baseline.
The user can now assign the preferred Code Set Style in the new Corridor creation dialogue, eliminating the need to modify the option later.
Coordinate System Modernisation
Civil engineers can set up coordinate systems more quickly and effectively with the aid of Civil 3D's enhanced, user-friendly user interface. With the latest version, users can import customer-requested coordinate systems and set vertical datum to precisely control the design elevations. The number of coordinate systems in the database has increased, increasing efficiency, user-friendliness, and design precision.
Transitions
It is now possible to apply transitions along a corridor in the event of a gap between areas. The user can set the new "Transition Gap Tolerance" variable in the Feature Command level settings from the "Settings" tab of the Toolspace to achieve this.
It is now feasible to copy and paste transition sets to alternate baselines and areas within the same corridor or even to separate corridors in the picture!
You may now right-click on the Corridor in the Prospector tab of the Toolspace to identify transition regions in the drawing.

Enhanced ESRI ArcGIS Intergrations
With the addition of five new Esri basemap options to the Geolocations tab, the latest version of Civil 3D reinforces Autodesk's strategic partnership with Esri. These days, high resolution satellite and aerial imagery, Open Streets, Esri Streets, light and dark grey monochrome maps, and other tools make it simple for designers and engineers to visualize terrain, streets, and structures.

Optimised MMS file saving
MMS files are produced in tandem with large DWG surface files created in projects. Several gigabytes of data can accumulate in these MMS files, adding needless processing time. With a significant reduction in processing time, the 2025 version now only saves MMS files when the surface has been genuinely altered.

Surface Level of Detail Improvements
The adjustment to the Level of Detail for Surfaces is one of 2025's greatest features. Now, rather than at the program level, Level of Detail is applied at the object level. In other words, the user has the freedom to select which Surfaces use the setting and which do not. Both the contextual "Surface" Ribbon tab and the Prospector tab of the Toolspace provide access to this setting. The "Settings" tab of the Toolspace's Feature Settings allows you to set the default for the option.

Performance Improvements
Numerous adjustments were made to help shorten the time required for tasks like opening large drawings, generating Surfaces from large Corridors (which now happens three to four times faster!), contour regeneration, surface regeneration when the Level of Detail is activated, corridor editing, and more. A portion of these enhancements stem from the software no longer regenerating Surfaces and Corridors in the absence of geometric modifications.

Conclusion
Along with many great performance and efficiency improvements, AutoCAD 2024.1, Civil 3D 2024.1, Civil 3D 2024.3, and now Civil 3D 2025 offer easy access to support. Overall, the improvements made to Civil 3D 2024 and 2025 have greatly improved the productivity of the workflow. One could argue that Civil 3D 2025 has improved design and teamwork efficiency.
